Coronavirus information and frequently asked questions

We are looking forward to welcoming our guests back to Cornwall. We thought it would be useful to answer some of the commonly asked questions relating to Coronavirus (Covid-19) and your holiday.

Can I place a booking with you?

We are now accepting bookings for holidays starting on or after 4th July when the Government has indicated it will be safe to travel.

What happens if I book and then the holiday dates fall within a government restricted period?

Should government restrictions, prevent travel to Cornwall during your booking we will contact you. Guests will be able to transfer deposits to a new date up to 2 years ahead, or we can refund the deposit if you prefer. We will refund any balance paid.

Can I cancel my holiday?

If you choose to cancel a holiday that falls outside of the government restricted dates, normal cancellation terms would apply.

What are our Terms and Conditions?

Our deposit, is one third of the total of the booking, which is not refundable should a booking be cancelled or date moved. The balance remains payable if we are not able to rebook the dates, though we will of course make every effort to do this. We ask guests to take out insurance, illness, accidents, car problems, bereavement sadly occur all too often. Please note that if you decide to cancel whilst there are no government restrictions on travel, our normal terms and conditions above will still apply and you would lose your deposit.

Should guests need to extend their stay as they are unable to travel, accommodation will be charged at the rate stated on our website for the new dates.

When will my balance payment be due?

For holidays starting in 2020 we have amended our balance payment due date from 5 weeks before your holiday to 3 weeks before to your holiday.

What extra precautions are you taking for my stay?

From 4th July onwards, the changeover period has been extended to allow our staff to carry out extra cleaning in accordance with industry guidance for this situation. Arrival time will now be 4pm and departure time will now be 9.30am, unless otherwise notified in order to maintain Covid confident standard certified by the AA.

If I do have insurance will I be covered still if I move my holiday dates?

Please contact your insurance company.

How can I prepare for my holiday?

Social distancing measures may reduce capacity at restaurants, venues and activities. It is advisable to pre-book as much as possible. On confirming your booking we will e-mail an information sheet, with websites and contact details to make this easier for you.

Supermarkets will be very busy on change over days especially Saturdays. It will be easiest to bring provisions with you. If this isn’t possible, consider using click and collect at Sainsburys Helston which is 5 miles (15 minute drive) away our postcode is TR27 6BP.
